Common questions

Is the first consultation really free?

Yes. The first conversation is free and confidential whether it takes ten minutes or an hour. If we cannot help, we will say so and point you towards someone who can.

How soon will someone reply?

Within one business day for enquiries sent through this form, and the same day for anything marked urgent. If you are facing a court deadline inside seventy-two hours, please telephone rather than write.

What should I bring to a first meeting?

A short chronology in your own words, the names of everyone involved, and any contract, notice or court paper at the centre of the dispute. That is enough for a useful first hour.

Do you take matters outside New England?

Our attorneys are admitted in Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut and New York. Elsewhere we act alongside local counsel, and transactional work is routinely handled across state lines.

Can you meet outside office hours?

Yes. Early-morning, evening and Saturday appointments are available at every office by arrangement, and video consultations can usually be offered the same week.
